Koshu City contains a popular ryokan district that features seven cozy ryokan, or traditional Japanese inns, and is also home to many hot spring resorts. The water found at each hot spring is different, and depending on the location is also said to have positive effects on anemia conditions, hemorrhoids, nervous disorders, gastrointestinal conditions, rheumatism and other ailments, and many people visit the resort to benefit from these effects.
